Holmquist symposium - 2025
The Ulla and Stig Holmquist prize in organic chemistry is awarded annually
‘to a researcher in the field of organic chemistry whose main work has been done in Sweden
and who has done pioneering work in that discipline.’
Please register for the symposium here (before September 30)

Berit Olofsson
"The Ulla and Stig Holmquist Scientific Prize in Organic Chemistry 2025 is awarded to Professor Berit Olofsson at Stockholm University for her ground-breaking research in organic chemistry. Olofsson has been a pioneer in the growing field of research where hypervalent iodine reagents are produced and used for more environmentally friendly organic chemical synthesis. With her elegant and gentle approach, different organic molecules can be selectively linked together without the need for toxic metals as catalysts. Olofsson's research is of the highest international class."
